In turn, the partnership helps graduates of other institutions transfer credits to CSU’s academic programs.

Through a partnership with the Fire Department Safety Officers Association, Columbia Southern University students have an opportunity for specific certifications.
Alabama Fire College
Through its rewarding educational partnership with the Alabama Fire College (AFC), CSU applies selected AFC certifications toward credit for CSU degree programs. As the leader in training Alabama’s firefighters and first-responders, AFC works to facilitate excellence in education, training, certification and support services for emergency response personnel in the state. CSU is proud to partner with this institution that prepares first-responders to prevent the loss of lives and property in Alabama. Alabama Fire College is the certifying agency for IFSAC and ProBoard certifications in the State of Alabama.
The National Sheriffs' Association Center for Public Safety
Providing law enforcement training for criminal justice professionals (including:sheriffs, deputies, chiefs of police and others in the field of criminal justice), The National Sheriffs' Association Center for Public Safety focuses on skill development for criminal justice professionals to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better serve the people of their jurisdiction and promote homeland security.
