Program Description

The Master of Science in Nursing Informatics program empowers nurse informatics specialists with the essential skills, knowledge, and competencies in informatics. The program is designed to help students identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice, thereby promoting the health of individuals and communities, and improving patient safety through the utilization of information technology, nursing science, and computer science. This program aligns with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's "The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education" (2021).

Upon completion of the program, students should be able to do the following:
