Columbia Southern University is committed to providing students the greatest opportunity to apply previously-earned credit toward their chosen degree program.

CSU allows transfer of credit hours for prior academic credits, training and relevant professional licenses and certifications. Up to 75% of undergraduate courses and 50% of graduate courses can be transferred into your CSU degree program. To make the process as easy as possible, students can complete the Transcript Request Service Form and CSU will request transcripts from their previous institutions for them.

Transfer Credit Acceptance

The acceptance of transfer credits between academic institutions lies within the discretion of the receiving college or university. CSU encourages students to review the Transfer Credit Policy and CSU’s list of transfer credit articulation agreements to learn more about transfer credit opportunities.

Crosswalks

Students who have earned military credit or have undergone testing through programs like the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) or DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) may have credits that can be transferred toward their degree program through CSU’s institutional Crosswalks.

Transfer Credits From CSU

Any CSU student desiring to transfer credit to or get accepted into a degree program at another school should contact the registrar at that school to determine if credit or a degree will transfer to that institution. For more information, review Transferring Credits From CSU and Acceptance of CSU Degrees.
