The Doctor of Nursing Education (DNE) program is designed for nurse educators who are passionate about advancing nursing education through excellence in teaching, innovation in curriculum development, and leadership in academic settings. Students will engage in advanced coursework focused on teaching strategies, instructional design, learning assessment, technology integration, and education policy. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based approaches to nursing education, preparing students to meet the challenges of teaching in diverse and evolving learning environments. This program does not lead to certification or licensure.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, students should be able to do the following:

Integrate educational theory, nursing science, and evidence-based teaching practices to design, implement, and evaluate high-quality nursing education across diverse learning environments.
Develop a curriculum development and assessment plan for continuous improvement in nursing education.
Summarize academic reporting using data analytics and research methods to improve student learning outcomes.
Incorporate emerging technologies and teaching modalities to enhance student engagement, accessibility, and learning outcomes in both traditional and online environments.
Model ethical and professional behavior in all aspects of the nurse educator role, including scholarship, teaching, mentorship, and service.
