CE 1001: Incident Safety Officer

About This Course

Focus on the laws, regulations, and standards that affect safe operations, employee safety, and healthy work environments.

Students will be applying real-world scenarios through various written projects and comprehension exercises. In this course, students should be able to identify smoke conditions to predict a future hostile fire event; list risk management principles in NFPA standard; evaluate the role of the safety incident officer at various emergency incidents and the post-incident analysis (PIA); and provide information required to conduct a safety investigation.

Prerequisites to Take Certification Exam

Applicants shall meet the requirements of NFPA 1521 – 2015 ed. Chapter 5 and be a member of a fire department and Emergency Services Organization with at least 5 years experience.
