Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security
The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security degree program is designed for individuals to gain experience in systems analysis, programming, web development, networking, databases, and IT infrastructures. This online degree plan prepares individuals to develop applications, implement databases, maintain networks, and create websites with security as the focal point.
The security core focuses on application security, intrusion detection, systems, IS auditing, and IS disaster recovery.
Upon completion of the program, students should be able to do the following:
- Classify potential threats, risks, and weaknesses in the Information Technology infrastructure.
- Interpret business and management theory and practices that help mitigate information systems security problems.
- Recognize the application of security practices.
- Analyze current legal requirements for information systems security.
