MAT 2303: Calculus

Description

Examines the basics of calculus. Topics include the differential calculus computations and applications to graphing and finding maxima-minima, the integral calculus substitution and applications to area and probability, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.

Outcomes

  1. Apply algebraic principles to solve equations.
  2. Find limits of functions algebraically and graphically.
  3. Idenitfy functions as continuous or discontinuous.
  4. Compute the rate of change of functions.
  5. Calculate derivatives of functions.
  6. Identify properties of functions using derivatives.
  7. Use concepts of integation to solve problems.
  8. Find integrals of functions.
