Letter from the Alumni Association President

Fellow CSU alumni,

Brian EdwardsMore than 18,000 students are now enrolled in CSU degree and certificate programs. This increase in enrollment is a true testament of the quality education that CSU continues to provide. The enrollment growth gives us a golden opportunity to communicate with graduates about being involved with the alumni association.

We were distinguished as a "Top 20" military friendly university in the 2008 issue of Military Advanced Education. We also continue to partner with corporations, municipalities, fire departments, and police departments around the world. As a result, our partnership program has reached an all time high of over 1,500 partners. These are organizations that have chosen to use CSU as a means to increase the knowledge and experience of their staff.

Just as CSU is committed to providing the absolute best service possible, the alumni association is committed to continuing that experience after you graduate. CSU Click is just one of the great things that you can be a part of as an alumni association member. Join us and continue to benefit from the CSU experience even after graduation!

Alumni Spotlight

David Lee
Marietta, Georgia

David Lee... CSU paved the way for his success.

The only member of his family without a degree, David Lee was determined to complete his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. After several unsatisfying experiences at traditional universities, he discovered that online education was the perfect solution for accomplishing his educational goals. Lee could now fit courses into his lifestyle – even with a schedule as hectic and unpredictable as his law enforcement career demanded.

Before beginning the bachelor’s degree program with CSU, the Marietta, Georgia Police Department where Lee worked implemented a degree requirement for promotions. While finishing his undergraduate degree in criminal justice, he was promoted to commander. He later went on to complete an MBA at CSU and was recently promoted to Deputy Chief of Investigative and Support Services.

"My CSU degrees definitely helped me reach my professional goals,” Lee said. “The critical thinking and research skills I gained have had a huge impact on my career."

Lee began his 30 year career in law enforcement as a military policeman in the U.S. Army. He hopes the diversity his degrees have given him will prepare him for his next goal – to become a chief of police.
