Brian Edwards
Charlotte, North Carolina
… he accomplished his dreams of higher education on his terms.
A 20 year Army veteran, Brian Edwards knew what he wanted, a quality education he could earn on his terms. After spending years trying to fit his career and family commitments around the strict classroom attendance policies and rigid course structures offered at traditional schools, he finally found his solution – Columbia Southern University (CSU). Flexible, online programs and maximum transfer credit allowed Edwards to finish a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration within four years while maintaining a 3.63 GPA.
The degrees Edwards earned from CSU gave him the confidence and knowledge to begin serving as a senior guidance counselor with the U.S. Army. He now advises future soldiers on the importance of earning an education and inspires new recruits with his own personal success story. The diplomas hanging in his office also serve as testimony to future soldiers hoping to earn their degree.
Winner of the Army’s highest recruiting award, the Glen E. Morell Award, he has also won three Meritorious Service Awards and a Southwest Asia Campaign Medal for his service in Desert Storm.
