CSU is accepting graduation registrations now through August 31st. Students must have submitted their petition to graduate prior to registering.

Graduates are invited to participate in the 2008 CSU commencement ceremony set for October 10th at the second largest National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida.  This 300,000 square foot structure of steel and glass attracts approximately one million visitors a year and features more than 150 aircraft. 

The ceremony will be held in the 10,000 square foot museum atrium with a quartet of McDonnell Douglas A-4 Skyhawk jets suspended above in their famous diamond formation.  Vice Admiral Jerry Hoewing is serving as keynote speaker for the event.  A graduate of National War College, his professional background includes positions with the Navy Department and Department of Defense.  During his sterling 36 year military career, Vice Admiral Hoewing has done everything from commanding the U.S.S. Seattle and U.S.S. John F. Kennedy to assigning more than 370,000 naval personnel.

Graduates are also invited to participate in other activities including an alumni social and graduation reception.  More details about these graduation events will soon be available. 

Ceremony Registration

Graduates must submit a $100 ceremony fee along with the commencement registration and regalia order form to participate.  Friends and family are also welcome to attend the graduation ceremony. Students may bring up to ten guests. The first five guests can attend at no cost; however each additional guest (up to ten) will have an additional cost of $10 each. We ask that you provide CSU with the number that will be attending so that sufficient seating will be made available

• Associates $29.65 - Cap, Gown, Tassel – (includes shipping directly to student)
• Bachelor's $29.65 - Cap, Gown, Tassel – (includes shipping directly to student)
• Bachelor's with Honors - $35.55 - Cap, Gown, Tassel – (includes shipping directly to student)
• Master's $48.90 - Cap, Gown, Tassel, Hood – (includes shipping directly to student)

Orders for our International Students will be shipped directly to Columbia Southern University. You will be able to pick up your cap and gown on Monday, October 6th through Thursday, October 9th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you need to make special arrangements for picking up your regalia, please contact Tina Shipp at tina@columbiasouthern.edu. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been received and processed. You will then be given instructions on how to order you cap and gown online through the vendor.

Graduating with Honors

Those students who qualify for honors will be given the option to purchase a cord to wear with their regalia, depending upon the honors below. In order for a student enrolled in the Bachelor degree program to graduate with honors, they must earn the following grade point average.

Summa Cum Laude	4.00
Magna Cum Laude:	3.8 - 3.99
Cum Laude:	3.5 - 3.79

You must indicate on the online order form if you plan to graduate with honors.

Honors are based upon coursework completed at CSU. Honor graduates must have no grades lower than "C", and must not have repeated any course at CSU
