2013 CSU Graduation Ceremony
CSU is pleased to announce the 2013 commencement ceremonies, which will be held October 25, 2013 at the Orange Beach Event Center at the Wharf in Orange Beach, AL.
The Wharf is the Gulf Coast's premier destination resort and marina featuring the best selection of shopping, dining and entertainment on the island with various restaurants, boutiques, stores, amphitheater, a 112-foot tall Ferris wheel and 15-screen movie theater!
Registration for Commencement Ceremony
Registration for this year’s commencement ceremonies will close on September 10, 2013.

Students must comply with the following criteria to participate in the CSU Graduation Ceremony:
- Students must have submitted a petition to graduate and have received audit results.
- Students must have completed all graduation requirements or have submitted their enrollment registrations for any remaining course(s) required for program completion at the time of graduation registration.
- Students who participate in the graduation ceremony and have not completed all of their graduation requirements are not eligible to be designated as graduating with honors.
Graduates must submit a $125 ceremony fee along with the commencement registration form to participate. Friends and family are also welcome to attend the graduation ceremony. Students will be given up to four free seats. Additional seats for guests can be purchased for $20 each.
Keynote Speaker - Dr. Bob Alsop
In April of 2011, the Waldorf College Board of Trustees selected Dr. Robert A. Alsop as the 16th president of Waldorf College. Dr. Alsop joined Waldorf College in 1998 after receiving a Ph.D. in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. During his tenure at Waldorf, Dr. Alsop has served in a variety of roles including Associate Professor of English, Chair of the English Department, Director of the Honors College, Assistant Academic Dean of the College, and Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs.
A native of Duluth, MN, Dr. Alsop also earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, in 1989, and a master’s degree in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL, in 1993. He has an extensive record of scholarship in American and Renaissance Literature, with papers that have been published or presented at regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Alsop has also received several awards for his teaching, including The Board of Trustees’ Outstanding Faculty Award and the Phi Theta Kappa Professor of the Year Award.
Dr. Alsop holds membership in a number of professional associations, serves as a board member for several community organizations, and is an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He is married to Dr. Natalie Y. H. Alsop, a practicing child psychologist and adjunct professor. They have two sons, Ethan and Elijah.

Each reservation under the block will receive two (2) one way toll bridge passes to visit the campus at your leisure. A hot breakfast bar is served each morning for each guest of the property.
Cut off date for blocked room availability and group rate is Wednesday, October 2, 2013. After this date, all reservations follow hotel availability and policies.
Each guest required to provide a valid credit card number to guarantee the reservation. For any credit card declined at 6pm on day of arrival, the reservation will be canceled.
