Excellence in Higher Education Conference 2017

Conference Dates: September 25th - 27th, 2017

The Creating a Culture of Excellence in Higher Education Virtual Conference is held yearly during the third or fourth week in September. The purpose of the conference is to inform educators about proven practices, push the leading edge of the profession, and motivate the pursuit of creating a culture of excellence in higher education.

Conference Strands

Presentations will exemplify one of three thematic strands that characterize this year’s conference. Each strand explores a different aspect of creating excellence in higher education.

Encompasses the entire experience from prospect to alumni status and how faculty can impact all encounters in an exceptional way
Student Exceptionalism
Critical thinking, positive communication, community involvement, citizenship, social and cultural awareness, as well as the ability to use mathematical and scientific principles in everyday applications.
Faculty and Student Engagement
Explores how faculty connect with students, pedagogy, innovative best practices, establishing clear expectations, and extending the learning environment through substantive feedback, rubrics, and other grading practice
