Ken Styron, M.B.A.
Chief Operating Officer & Chief of Staff
Ken Styron has been with CSU since 2002. As Chief of Staff, he works on behalf of President Mayes to achieve university goals, objectives, and strategies. Mr. Styron works with the Executive Leadership Team to execute the strategic plan, resolve administrative matters, and monitor institutional progress.
Mr. Styron has served as Chief Information Officer, Vice President for Instructional Design and Technology, Vice President of Operations, and Director of Information Technology. During his tenure at CSU, Ken has built the technology and process driven infrastructure necessary to service the many students, faculty and staff at the university. One of his most significant accomplishments was the creation of OMEGA, the university information system that is the center of all university operations.
Ken has extensive experience in the technology field working for several software companies over the years. He has directed research and development teams to create new software products and solutions. He enjoys solving problems with new ideas and solutions that incorporate technology and process improvement.
Mr. Styron holds a bachelor’s degree in information science from the University of South Alabama, a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University. He currently serves on the Mobile Area Council Boy Scouts of America Board. Ken enjoys spending time with his family doing community service and youth leadership development.
