Keith Padgett, who joined CSU in 2011, now serves as the program director of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Programs in CSU’s College of Safety and Emergency Services. With more than 32 years of experience in the fire service, Keith is a retired chief-fire marshal for Fulton County (Ga.) Fire Department. He was assigned to manage the Community Risk Reduction Section of the department, overseeing all aspects of fire prevention, fire safety education, arson/investigation and public information. He also has an extensive background in fire training and instruction, special operations and fireground management. An Executive Fire Officer Program alumnus with the National Fire Academy, he has received a Chief Fire Officer Designation (CFOD) and is the chair for the Education Committee within the Executive Fire Officer Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Keith holds a master’s degree in leadership with an emphasis in disaster preparedness and executive fire leadership.
