About Tampa Fire & Rescue
The City of Tampa, Florida is located on the Gulf Coast of Central Florida with a population of more than 300,000, and is home to Busch Gardens and numerous professional sports franchises. The department was established May 10, 1885 and now serves a 110 sq. mi. coverage area from 21 stations. Along with fire, EMS, and Hazardous Materials, the 663-member department also provides coverage to Tampa International Airport as well as the largest seaport by tonnage in the state of Florida.
