Karen Smith, Ph.D.
Vice President for Institutional Research, External Compliance, and Accreditation
Biography:
Karen Smith is an interdisciplinary trained professional with 25 years of domestic and international experience in academic affairs, program development and policy analysis, and supervision of work teams. Serving as Vice President for Institutional Research, External Compliance, and Accreditation, she returned to CSU from the Raytheon Company where she was a senior research scientist and senior training analyst. Previously, Karen worked at CSU as Dean for Academic Affairs and was a former 13-year academic program director and faculty member at the University of West Florida. She holds a doctoral degree and advanced master’s degree in higher education from Florida State University.
