Biography:
Robert Mayes, Jr., co-founder and president of Columbia Southern University (CSU), is a pioneer in online education with more than 15 years of experience in the distance learning industry. He has served as President of CSU, one of the nation's first online universities, since 2005. CSU was originally established in 1993 by his father, Dr. Robert Mayes. Robert holds an M.B.A. from Capella University. He serves on several committees and boards including as a Distance Education Training Council Business Standards Evaluator, DETC Business Standards Committee member, a board member of the Alabama Association of Private Colleges and Schools, and a board member of the Alabama Gulf Coast Area Education Foundation.
