Department Chair, General Studies
Biography:
Traci Frees joined CSU in 2010 and currently serves as the Department Chair of General Studies for the College of Arts & Sciences. Traci holds a master’s degree in Communication with a specialization in Adult Education from Auburn University. She was a faculty member in the Communication Department at Auburn, then moved to Biloxi, MS after Hurricane Katrina hit to work with a non-profit organization as the Director of Strategic Planning to assist in relief efforts. During this time Traci, along with other executive staff members, were invited to participate in the New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell Ceremony that honored relief efforts provided by the organization. Traci is now excited to be part of such an exciting and dynamic organization as CSU and looks forward to enhancing educational opportunities in her current role.
